- General liability : 5 million dollars

Inspection and audit
The transfer center conducts inspections and audits of all its installations
in accordance with specific individual schedules.
Internal safety inspections
An unannounced complete inspection of the whole plant is conducted each
month. Major observations of non-compliance are listed and distributed
to the responsible parties so that the problems encountered are corrected.
External conformity audits (laboratory)
Every two years, Centre d’Expertise en Analyse Environnementale du MDDEP
personnel conduct a complete audit of the laboratory in accordance with
the ISO 17025.
Internal conformity audit
Every year an audit of the laboratory’s activities is conducted and the
results are evaluated in terms of new requirements and orientations of
laboratory and the major observations of nonconformity of the Transfer
center.
Government Inspection
Every three months, an inspector from the Ministère développement durable
environnement et parc du Québec conducts a complete inspection of the
Transfer center. He verifies that the authorization certificate and the
operating permit are respected and checks the installations and management
of the hazardous waste.
